Expanded 2 Year Old Funding
From April 2024 – up to 15 hours of early education (over 38 weeks of the year) for eligible working families in England with a two-year-old, from the term after their 2nd birthday.
Eligible working parents who already have a Tax-Free Childcare account can apply for a 15 hours code within their next reconfirmation window. As part of the reconfirmation process, parents will be required to share information including their child’s age, and their current financial eligibility.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a code for the new 2-year-old entitlement from April 2024, parents will need to earn the equivalent of 16 hours a week at national minimum wage and less than £100,000 adjusted net income per year.

I am eligible, what happens next?
If you are eligible, you will be given an 11-digit code that you will need to provide us with along with your national insurance number and your child’s birth certificate.
Micklands Pre-School accepts the Expanded 2 Year Old Funding. However, please be aware that the earliest we are currently able to consider offering a place to a child at our pre-school is to ‘Rising 3 Year Olds’ – children who will become 3 during the term of their birthday. This is also subject to availability of sessions.
